The most seasoned team of experts in offshore wind park project development

NRG Bluewater Wind is proud to have a world-class team of leaders in the fields of environmental protection, energy development, oceanography, finance, insurance, law, engineering, and meteorology. Many on our team have global experience and are recognized as world-class experts in their fields. Some of the successful projects our team members have been involved with include Arklow Bank, Egmond aan Zee, Greater Gabbard, Horns Rev, Kentish Flats, Nysted, and Scroby Sands.

Other team members have long-time experience in the area of our projects, providing considerable local knowledge, whether it is about the local ecology, the electric grid, or regulatory procedures.

Our partners are involved in each phase of a project: site selection, planning and design, including environmental impact assessments; construction and installation; operation and maintenance; and decommissioning.

The long-list of expertise represented on the NRG Bluewater Winds team includes:

  • Ornithologists for bird studies
  • Marine biologists to study fish, sea-floor ecology, and marine mammals
  • Meteorologists to measure the wind
  • Marine and structural engineers to ensure that the turbines can withstand the winds and waves of even the strongest storms
  • Electrical engineers to ensure that our wind park-generated electricity blends seamlessly into the regional electric system
  • Photo-visualization experts to develop and present true-to-life simulations of how offshore projects will appear from the shoreline
  • Oceanographers to study the sea floor to determine proper foundation design, and to avoid unstable areas or underwater obstructions
  • Archaeologists to ensure that no artifacts such as shipwrecks are disturbed
  • Attorneys to ensure that we fully comply with all laws and regulations
